When you make your story

Your story is made in your own browser. The names and years you type in are kept in the page link (the part after the #), so you can share it. They are not sent to us. To show the free preview pages of the book, our server only receives the earliest birth year, without any names.

When you buy

Payments

Stripe handles all payments. Your card or wallet details go straight to Stripe and never reach us. Stripe also checks payments for fraud. Stripe is responsible for this under its own privacy policy, and may handle data outside the EU with the safeguards the GDPR requires.

Our server

This website runs on a rented server (Hostinger), which processes data for us under a data processing agreement. Like every website, the server notes technical details such as your IP address and the pages asked for, to keep it secure (our legitimate interest, article 6(1)(f)). These logs are kept only for a short time.

Who else sees your data

Only Stripe and our hosting provider, as described above. We never sell your data or use it for advertising. We only email you about your order.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we have about you, to correct it, to delete it (unless the law makes us keep it), to limit how we use it, to object, or to give it to you in a common format. Just write to the email above. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
